Devin Neal's rookie season with the New Orleans Saints showed flashes of promise and versatility, though it was cut short by injury. In 10 games, Neal carried the ball 57 times for 206 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns, averaging 3.6 yards per carry. He also proved to be a receiving threat out of the backfield, hauling in 17 receptions for 104 yards, giving his offense a dual-threat option on early downs and in short-yardage situations.
