The first team reps belonged to Jake Haener on the third day of New Orleans Saints training camp, but the practice may have belonged to Spencer Rattler. Operating the second-team offense, Rattler enjoyed a strong performance during a sweltering session at the team's Metairie training complex. Whether it was during full team drills or in seven-on-seven periods without a pass rush, the second-year passer showed off his talented throwing arm on a number of occasions. SEE MORE >>

For the first time in the three days of training camp, there were selected "vet days" based on what Coach Kellen Moore said "injury history, experience, and workload." Not practicing Friday were running back Alvin Kamara (who celebrated his 30th birthday Friday), defensive end Cameron Jordan, linebacker Demario Davis, defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, wide receiver Brandin Cooks, and center Erik McCoy. Adam Gristick enters his first season as assistant linebackers coach after being elevated having spent his first two years with the organization as a defensive assistant working with his current position group. Gristick arrived in New Orleans after serving on the coaching staff at Eastern Illinois from 2018-22. During his tenure in Charleston, he coached linebackers all five seasons and added the title of defensive game run coordinator in 2020. In 2022, he was promoted to defensive coordinator. SEE MORE >>
