Jahri Evans, an all-time New Orleans Saints great who began both his playing and coaching careers in New Orleans, is joining another coaching staff. In his fourth season with the Saints, cornerback Alontae Taylor cemented his status as a hybrid nickel and outside corner in Brandon Staley's defense — and a statistical powerhouse for New Orleans. The New Orleans Saints and Dudley DeBosier hosted members of the Army, Marines, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center for the 2026 Battle of the Branches on Thursday, January 29. Saints legend Pat Swilling, former defensive end Buford Jordan, and former kicker Greg Fassitt, along with Saints quarterback Tyler Shough and center Erik McCoy, were in attendance for the round-robin tournament featuring challenges such as tug-of-war, the 40-yard dash, and field goal kicking.
