The NFL released their 2025 schedule on Wednesday, and we found out when and where the new era of the New Orleans Saints will begin. The answer is Coach Kellen Moore will first take the field at the Caesars Superdome on Sept. 7 against Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals, and in fact, the team will play the first half of its home schedule by the time Week 6 is done. Kellen Moore can bank on a friendly reception for his debut season as head coach in New Orleans, with the Saints opening the 2025 season with consecutive home games in the Caesars Superdome against Arizona and San Francisco on Sept. 7 and 14. The Saints, who finished 5-12 last season (3-6 in the Caesars Superdome) will play four of their first six games at home in a schedule that includes three playoff opponents from 2024 (Buffalo, the Rams and Tampa Bay), but excludes any nationally televised, prime-time games. The New Orleans Saints mourn the loss of longtime, valued press box staff member, Jim Benson, who passed away on Monday at the age of 56. Benson was a New Orleans native who graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School, and received his Bachelor's and Juris Doctorate degrees from Loyola University New Orleans. The NFL has heard the calls to involve its stars in the upcoming Olympics debut of flag football. NFL owners will discuss a resolution at next week's Spring League Meeting that would allow NFL players to participate in flag football during the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, the league announced on Thursday. The NFL announced team-by-team opponents and select prime-time games for the 2025 preseason on Wednesday. For the fifth consecutive season, all but two teams will play three preseason games before the regular season kicks off on Sept. 4.
