Two of the best defensive backs in club history, Brett Maxie and Tracy Porter, are the newest inductees to the Saints Hall of Fame, officials announced Wednesday. Officials also announced that former Saints special teams standout Steve Gleason will receive the Hall's inaugural courage award and former WGNO sports director Ed Daniels is the 2025 recipient of the Joe Gemelli "Fleur de Lis" award. The New Orleans Saints will report for training camp July 22, the NFL revealed Wednesday. The league announced the reporting dates for all 32 teams, and the Saints will have their rookies and veterans show up on the same day. Some teams, such as the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers, make a distinction between the groups as rookies are allowed to report a full week prior. SEE MORE >>

But he signed with the New Orleans Saints as a rookie free agent looking to make his mark and Wednesday, he received the best sign that he had when it was announced that he was a 2025 inductee into the Saints Hall of Fame. The media selection committee of the Saints Hall of Fame has selected cornerback Tracy Porter and safety Brett Maxie for induction in 2025. In addition, two awards will be given out by the media selection committee. The first is the Joe Gemelli "Fleur de Lis" Award, which will be presented posthumously to former WGNO Sports Director Ed Daniels. The second is the Saints Hall of Fame Courage Award, which will honor Steve Gleason, whose unwavering strength continues to inspire the entire New Orleans community. SEE MORE >>

The New Orleans Saints host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Caesars Superdome in Week 8 at 3:05 p.m. on Oct. 26 with the broadcast on FOX. It will be the Saints' first NFC South contest of the 2025 season. New Orleans faces Tampa Bay on the road to close out the season series in Raymond James Stadium in Week 14 at noon on Dec. 7 at 12 p.m. with the broadcast on CBS.
