OTAs head into their second day

Here are your Five Things to Know about the New Orleans Saints on Wedenesday, May 22:

  1. The Saints head into their second day of organized team activities. The day is closed to the media with the next day open to the media being on May 28.
  2. Saints tackle Trevor Penning received reps with the first team at right tackle on the first day of OTAs. Senior writer John DeShazier will have an article covering Penning's potential shift to the right side of the offensive line.
  3. The Saints newest rookies will be in attendance for the Touchdown Club of New Orleans' 50th Annual Crawfish Super Boil starting at 6:30 p.m.
  4. Quarterback Derek Carr spoke extensively with the media on May 21 about learning offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak's new system. Carr said one of the strengths of the system is it provides different plays with similar looks to make things more challenging for the defense to identify what is coming.
