The New Orleans Saints (5-10) enter Sunday's contest having won three consecutive contests in the same season for the first time since 2022, looking to improve to four in a row for the first time since 2020, when they play at the Tennessee Titans (3-11). New Orleans are looking to continue their winning ways in what could serve as a springboard for the 2026 campaign.

Since dropping a close 21-17 loss at the Miami Dolphins on November 30, where they nearly stole a victory in the final minutes, the Saints have managed three consecutive wins in the month of December, first against the two teams jockeying for the NFC South division title, followed by a 29-6 victory over the New York Jets in the team's 2025 Caesars Superdome finale.

THIS WEEK IN THE NFC SOUTH: The Carolina Panthers (8-7) host the Seattle Seahawks (12-3) at noon on Dec. 28 at noon while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-8) travel to take on the Miami Dolphins (6-9). The Atlanta Falcons (6-9) host the Los Angeles Rams (11-4) on Monday Night Football on Dec. 29 at 7:15 p.m.

SAINTS vs. TITANS SEASON SERIES HISTORY

The New Orleans Saints and the Tennessee Titans, who were the Houston Oilers from 1960–96, have met 17 times. New Orleans has posted a 7-9-1 record all-time against the Titans, and nine of the outcomes in the series have been decided by a touchdown or less. The Saints won the last meeting, a 16-15 victory at the Caesars Superdome on September 10, 2023. The Saints first met Sunday's opponent in 1971 and played to a 13-13 tie with the Oilers in Houston's Astrodome. The Oilers captured the next two games in the series before the Saints won their first game in the series in 1981, as Head Coach Bum Phillips exacted revenge on his former team. This was the start of a three-game winning streak, including a 24-10 win in 1987 that ensured the Saints a home playoff game in the season where the club finished with a winning record and qualified for the postseason for the first time in their 21-season history. The two clubs split their next two meetings. The Titans then went on to capture four straight before the Saints won in 2011. The Saints have posted a 4-3-1 record against the Oilers/Titans on the road.

THE LAST REGULAR SEASON MEETING

New Orleans Saints 16, Tennessee Titans 15; Sept. 10, 2023 @ Metlife Stadium - It wasn't a thing of beauty but the New Orleans Saints won their 2023 season-opener 16-15 over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at the Caesars Superdome. The game featured just one touchdown - a 19-yard pass from Derek Carr to Rashid Shaheed - and eight field goals as the defenses looked far head of the offenses in the Week 1 game. But that touchdown pass from Carr, three field goals from rookie kicker Blake Grupe and three forced turnovers from the Saints defense were enough for the win. FULL GAME RECAP
