Stanley Jean-Baptiste signs contract with New Orleans Saints

Former Nebraska defensive backs signs four-year contract

New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has signed second round draft pick CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste to a four-year contract.

Jean-Baptiste, 24, was selected by the Saints in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft with the 58th overall pick out of Nebraska. The 6-foot-3, 218-pound native of Miami, Fla. appeared in 36 career games in college, starting 19 contests. He posted career statistics of 74 tackles with seven interceptions, 22 passes defensed, one sack, four tackles for a loss and a seven-yard reception. As a senior in 2013, he was named second-team All-Big Ten after recording 41 tackles, one sack, four stops for a loss, four interceptions and 12 passes defensed.
