The New Orleans Saints have announced that preliminary auditions for the 2014-15 Saintsations will be held Sunday, April 27, at the Saints Practice Facility on 5800 Airline Drive in Metairie. Auditions will begin at 9 a.m. This is an open call audition. You must be 18 years of age on or before the audition date.

"We are looking for dedicated young women who are physically fit, talented in dance/cheer and are able to present themselves in a professional manner," said Saintsations Director Leslee Fitzmorris. "Because the Saintsations are influential role models to the youth in our communities, we will select women that are committed to leading a healthy, productive lifestyle."

The Saintsations are comprised of two groups with requirements emphasizing two different strengths. The appearance team conducts media interviews, therefore emphasis is placed on strong speaking and presentation skills. The performance team's main focus in on dance performances. Both teams appear on the field during games.

The audition is a three-step process consisting of preliminary dance audition on Sunday, April 27. All of the auditions are closed to the public but the preliminaries will be streamed live on www.NewOrleansSaints.com.

Participants making the cut Sunday will advance to a professional interview and football test. The final dance/speaking audition will be held Tuesday, April 29 and the team will be announced on Wednesday, April 30.

The audition will be preceded by an optional workshop designed to prepare candidates for auditions.
