QB Drew Brees Ranks No. 11 in NFL Network's "The Top 100: Players of 2013"

Drew Brees was the only New Orleans Saints player to be named to the list

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees ranks No. 11 in NFL Network's "The Top 100: Players of 2013," the network announced Thursday.

The countdown of the best 100 players leading into the 2013 season is voted on by the players themselves.

Brees is the only Saints player to be named to the list. Brees came in at No. 2 on the 2012 list.

In 2012, Brees completed 422-of-670 throws (63.0%) for 5,177 yards with 43 touchdown passes, 19 interceptions and a 96.3 passer rating, as he was selected to the league's All-Star game for the fifth consecutive season.

The seven-time Pro Bowl selection finished the season ranked first in the National Football League in passing yardage, touchdown passes and completions of 25 yards or more (47).

Brees joined Dan Marino (1984, 86), as only the second signal caller to have two seasons with 40 or more touchdown passes and in leading the league in touchdown passes for a fourth time, tied an NFL record held also by Johnny Unitas, Len Dawson, Steve Young and Brett Favre. It also marked the fourth time in his seven seasons as a Saint he led the league in passing yards (2006, 2008, 2011). Brees also finished tied for third in the NFL in completions and ranked eighth in passer rating.
