Saints, Panthers squaring off in the Superdome

First-quarter update:  The Carolina Panthers scored on two field goals by Graham Gano (45 yards and 24 yards) to take an early 6-0 lead over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The Panthers dominated the clock - they had the ball for 11 minutes, 30 seconds - thanks to converting on 4 of 6 third-down attempts. The Saints went three-and-out on their first possession.
