New Orleans tops NBC's 'Sunday Night Football' metered markets for second consecutive year

For the second consecutive year, and fifth time (2010, 2011 and 2013) in 10 seasons, New Orleans was the top-rated "Sunday Night Football" market.

New Orleans averaged a 24.7 rating and 34 share for "Sunday Night Football" broadcasts this season.

When the Saints defeated the Cowboys on "Sunday Night Football" in late September, the broadcast on NBC earned a 57.0 rating and a 74 share, which means of all the televisions on in New Orleans on Sunday night, 74 percent were watching the Saints game.

The Saints' 57.0/74 local rating in New Orleans is the team's highest on NBC SNF since 2013 (58.1/73 for Panthers-Saints, 12/8/13).

The Dallas game attracted an average of 24.2 million TV viewers, making it the most-watched prime-time show this fall (Sept. 5, 2019-Dec. 29, 2019), roughly one million more TV viewers than Game 7 of the World Series between the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals.
