New Orleans Saints vs St. Louis Rams: Notebook

With tonight's loss, the Saints fall to 10-4

*New Orleans' record drops to 10-4 on the season.  The Saints will battle the Carolina Panthers (10-4) for first place in the NFC South for the second time in three weeks on December 22, with next week's matchup at Bank of America Stadium. Kickoff is at 12:00 p.m. CST.

*QB Drew Brees completed 39 of 56 passes for 393 yards and a five-yard touchdown pass to WR Marques Colston. Brees also had a one-yard touchdown rush up the middle.

*Brees appeared in his 125th career game as a Saint today, moving him into 22nd place on the club's all-time list for games played.

*Brees tied his career-high with 39 completions. Brees last completed on 39 throws at Denver on September 21, 2008.

*Colston caught eight passes for a team-leading 92 yards, including a third quarter 23-yard grab and a fourth quarter touchdown reception.

*With the touchdown reception, Brees and Colston moved into a tie for seven all-time in league history with 63 touchdowns by the quarterback-receiver combination.

*WR Lance Moore hauled in six receptions for 78 yards, including a 30-yard catch in the fourth quarter.

*WR Kenny Stills had four receptions for 47 yards.

*RB Darren Sproles had seven carries for a team-high 24 yards and eight receptions for 38 yards.

*RB Pierre Thomas had seven receptions for 62 yards and also got a first down on a fourth-and-one rush as part of eight carries for 21 yards.

*RB Mark Ingram had two receptions for 39 yards, including a third quarter 23-yard reception.

*ILB David Hawthorne led the defense with 10 solo tackles.
