New Orleans Saints vs. Jets, second-quarter update: Jets 20, Saints 14

Second-quarter update:The New York Jets took advantage of the power running of Chris Ivory and another Drew Brees interception to take a 20-14 lead at halftime Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

The Jets scored on a 3-yard TD run by Ivory and then two plays later Antonio Cromartie caught a pass Nick Toon let bounce off his hands with 2:12 to play in the period. Jets quarterback Geno Smith quickly marched his team down the field and scored on a 3-yard keeper.

The Saints scored late in the period of a beautiful 10-yard catch by tight end Jimmy Graham, his second TD of the game.

Key stats: Drew Brees, 15 of 23 for 230 yards, two TDs, two picks; Jimmy Graham, four catches for 72 yards, two TDs. Jets, Geno Smith, 6 of 13 for 70 yards and one rushing TD; Chris Ivory, 10 carries for 93 yards and one rushing TD.
