The New Orleans Saints selected Louisiana Tech running back Boston Scott with the 201st pick in Round 6 of the 2018 NFL Draft on Saturday.
In 2017 Scott, a Baton Rouge native, played in 13 games and ran for 1,047 yards with eight touchdowns. Scott also caught 20 passes for 181 yards with one touchdown.
Scott played in all 14 games for the Bulldogs in 2016. He had 70 carries on the season for 515 yards and six touchdowns and added 11 receptions for 125 receiving yards.
Scott broke on to the scene with the Bulldogs during the second half of the 2015 season, rushing the ball 34 times for 275 yards, while also returning nine kicks for a total of 251 yards.
Scott is 5 feet 6 and weighs 203 pounds. He played at Zachary High School.
