Tim Lelito agreed to terms with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent this offseason. He started 45 consecutive games for Grand Valley State and was a two-time First-Team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection.

His senior campaign, the Michigan native helped the Lakers rank second in their conference in total offense (474.4) and scoring offense (41.9) as he was named the GLIAC Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Tell us a little bit about what you are looking to get out of the upcoming game against the Raiders?

"Just go out there and have a great showing. Have as minimal mental errors as possible. Just try to go out there and be as physical as I can."

What veteran have you learned from the most?

"The most? That's hard to tell. I get little bits and pieces from every single one of them. Ben (Grubbs), just how he approached practice and how he sets everything. Jahri (Evans), how his mindset is going into games and then how he is very physical. Zach Strief, his smarts and how he can diagnose a play and situation like no other. It's pretty even across the board."

What has been your biggest transition from college to NFL?

"Probably the speed of everything. Not just the players but getting the plays and personnel and then obviously the players. Just adjusting to the speed of everything is different."

What have you liked most about the city so far?

"The people. The people are awesome down here. The most friendly I've ever encountered."

Have you had any special rookie duties?

"Yeah, we get the towels and the whirlpool sorts for the veterans. We grab their helmets and pads after practice."
