New Orleans Saints-Oakland Raiders updates: Saints lead 17-0 after first quarter

Mark Ingram 2-yard TD, 53-yard Garrett Hartley field goal, 16-yard TD from Kenny Stills account for the scoring

The New Orleans Saints used two bombs to take a 17-0 first quarter lead over the Oakland Raiders on Friday night at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Garrett Hartley drilled a 53-yard field to end the Saints' first drive of the game and Drew Brees connected with Nick Toon on a 56-yard pass to set up a 2-yard touchdown run by Mark Ingram to make it 10-0.

On Brees' third possession he led the Saints to another TD as he connected with rookie Kenny Stills for a 16-yard TD.

The Saints' first-team defense was effective as it held the Raiders and quarterback Matt Flynn to 38 yards on two possessions.
