New Orleans Saints lead Colts 20-10 at halftime

Saints add two field goals in period

Second quarter update: Luke McCown was the New Orleans Saints' quarterback for the entire period and led the team on two drives that ended with field goals of 39 yards and 24 yards by Shayne Graham as the Saints took a 20-10 lead over the Indianapolis Colts into halftime.

Cornerback Keenan Lewis nearly made an acrobatic inrterception but the officials ruled the ball hit the ground.

McCown replaced Brees and the team's two Pro Bowl guards, Jahri Evans and Ben Grubbs, also were removed after the first quarter.

The Saints outgained the Colts 289-132 yards in the first half. The Saints did have eight penalties for 60 yards,

Key stats: Saints, Luke McCown, 3 of 10 for 45 yards, two carries for 35 yards; Mark Ingram, eight carries for 46 yards; Pierre Thomas, four receptions for 66 yards. Colts, Andrew Luck, 9 of 17 for 101 yards and a TD.
