According to a study conducted by Emory University on fan equity, the New Orleans Saints have the fourth most loyal fan base in the NFL behind the Cowboys, Patriots and the Jets.
Box office revenues, market population, stadium capacity, median income and other key factors were used to determine the results.
The Saints may have finished fourth in the league but they finish first in the NFC South with the closest in the division being the Carolina Panthers ranked fifteenth. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are towards the bottom of the rankings coming in at No. 29. The Atlanta Falcons fell at No. 31, only beating out the Oakland Raiders.
