New Orleans Saints Fact of the Day for Friday, August 1, 2014:
The New Orleans Saints will kick off their 2014 preseason when they travel to face the St. Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome a week from today. This will be the first time that New Orleans will face their former NFC West rivals in the preseason since 1968. The Saints played their first game ever against the Rams in Anaheim, Calif. on August 2, 1967 in a 16-7 exhibition loss and then dropped a 21-7 decision at the Rams in the 1968 preseason.
