New Orleans Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis is set to kick off The Keenan Lewis Foundation with an action-packed weekend including its first Football Camp and Back to School Extravaganza on July 12 – 13, 2014. These are free community events that will benefit children of low-income families in the New Orleans and surrounding areas.

The Keenan Lewis Foundation Football Camp will feature other professional athletes such as Mike Wallace (Miami Dolphins), Trai Turner (Carolina Panthers), Lamin Barrow (Denver Broncos), Kendrick Lewis (Houston Texans) and more. 500 student-athletes (ages 7 to 17) will have the opportunity to train with professional and local coaches and players at Behrman Memorial Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2014.

The first Keenan Lewis Foundation Back to School Extravaganza will allow students and their families to enjoy free food, snowballs, entertainment, give-a-ways, video gaming systems, rock climbing walls, massages and door prizes; receive free school supplies, haircuts, dental and medical screenings, chiropractic services, school uniform vouchers and much more! Its goal is to provide a fun-filled family experience that promotes education while supplying 700 or more students with a book bag filled with school supplies on Sunday, July 13, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"Now that I'm home, and I've found the right team, I genuinely feel now is the perfect time to start my foundation," Keenan Lewis said. "I'm happy to give back to the community where I started developing my craft. That's why I chose to host the kick off events at Behrman Stadium in Algiers."
