Steelers Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Line John Mitchell, a Mobile, Ala., native, served on the coaching staff at LSU from 1987-1990. In 1990, Mitchell became the first African-American defensive coordinator in SEC history when he served in that position for the Tigers.
