On Saturday, Aug. 10, the New Orleans Saints placed tackle Ulrick John on Injured Reserve, terminated contract/left squad wide receiver Rishard Matthews and waived tight end Jake Powell. The roster now stands at 87 players and Coach Sean Payton said to expect additions this week to get the roster back to 90 to further evaluate in the final three weeks of the preseason with the cutdown to 53 players looming on Aug. 31.
