New Orleans Saints announce roster moves 

The club has signed tackle Chris Clark and fullback Shane Smith.

The New Orleans Saints announced Monday, Aug. 12 that the club has signed tackle Chris Clark and fullback Shane Smith.

Clark, 6 feet 5, 305 pounds, is a nine-year NFL veteran who originally was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2008 out of Southern Mississippi. The New Orleans native, who prepped at McDonogh 35 High School, has played in 121 career games with 66 starts at both left and right tackle and as a jumbo tight end for the Denver Broncos (2010-14), Houston Texans (2015-17) and Carolina Panthers (2018). Clark joined the Panthers in the second week of the 2018 regular season and played in 15 games with 13 starts at right tackle.

Smith, 6-1, 240, was originally signed by the New York Giants in 2017 as an undrafted free agent out of San Jose State. He has played in 13 games with the Giants from 2017-18 with three starts at fullback and one at tight end, recording four special teams tackles.
