New Orleans Saints announce roster moves

Team signs defensive end George Johnson, releases Bryce Harris

The New Orleans Saints announced Wednesday, Dec. 13 that they have signed defensive end George Johnson and have waived tackle Bryce Harris.The announcements were made by Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

Johnson, 6 feet 4, 265 pounds, is a six-year NFL veteran who was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers out of Rutgers in 2010. The Glassboro, N.J., native has appeared in 42 regular season games with five starts for three teams and has recorded 58 tackles (38 solo), six sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and three special teams tackles. In 2017, he appeared in four games for the Detroit Lions and recorded two solo tackles.
