New Orleans Saints announce roster moves

Saints sign running back Jonathan Williams, place Lasco on IR

The New Orleans Saints announced Wednesday, Nov. 15 that they have signed running back Jonathan Williams to the 53-man roster off the Denver Broncos practice squad and have placed running back Daniel Lascoon Injured Reserve. The announcements were made by Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

Williams, 6 feet, 223 pounds, was originally selected by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round (156th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Arkansas. He spent his rookie season with the Bills, playing in 11 games and carrying 27 times for 94 yards with one touchdown and one special teams tackle. The Allen, Texas native spent the first 10 weeks of the 2017 regular season on the Broncos practice squad. Williams spent three seasons at Arkansas and in 2015, ran the ball 211 times for 1,190 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Razorbacks.
