New Orleans Saints announce roster moves

NFL rosters need to be at 75 players or less by 3 pm CT Tuesday

The New Orleans Saints have cut ties to eight players to reach the league's maximum 75-player roster, Sean Payton announced after Tuesday's practice.

The Saints released T/G Manase Foketi, DE Rufus Johnson, QB Logan Kilgore, LB Kevin Reddick, DB Rod Sweeting and DE George Uko and the contracts of TE Travis Beckum, LB Victor Butler were terminated.

The team announced the release of WR , OT TY Nsekhe and S Ty Zimmerman Monday.

League rosters need to be reduced to 53 for the start of the regular season by Saturday, Aug. 30 at 3 p.m. CT.

The Saints (3-0 preseason) host the Baltimore Ravens in their preseason finale on Thursday (7 p.m. CT) in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
