New Orleans Saints 2017 season recap: Ken Crawley

Crawley knew he needed to be prepared when his number was called

The New Orleans Saints defense knew they needed to step up their game this season and cornerback Ken Crawley was there to rise to the challenge. In his second year with the Saints, Crawley doubled his pass deflections and had career-highs in interceptions and tackles. After being inactive for the first two weeks of the season, Crawley proved week after week that he was deserving of a spot on the field.

Best Game: Crawley had several pivotal plays during the season but his best game came in his second game of the season. In Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins, Crawley had eight tackles, two pass deflections and one end-zone interception. The interception on the opening drive of the game at Wembley Stadium in London gave the Saints the momentum that carried them through the game.

Best Quote:

"This is my second year on the defense and I feel like I'm more comfortable in it, trusting my eyes, my technique. In the offseason that was something big that I worked on and one of my goals was to make more plays and to better my situational awareness on the field and be in position on every play."
