New Orleans Saints defensive back Keenan Lewis teamed up with Winn Dixie to hold a field trip for local elementary students at the Louisiana Children's Museum Tuesday morning.
During the event, the students enjoyed a festive snack of Green Eggs and Ham while Winn-Dixie store associates and special guests, including Lewis, read the Dr. Seuss classic "Green Eggs and Ham" to them.
"It's great to participate in events that help kids of our home city," Lewis said. "It was an honor to get a chance to read to them and hang out with them at this great museum."
The focus of the event was on developing healthy eating habits and strong reading skills.
