NFL CAREER –This two-year NFL veteran was a contributor in both the running game and passing game in Miami from 2012-13. After spending part of the 2014 campaign on the practice squad of the Jacksonville Jaguars, this former Missouri standout will compete for a roster spot in training camp in New Orleans. Overall, Egnew has played in 18 games with five starts and has recorded career totals of seven receptions for 69 yards.

2015 –Spent the offseason with the Pittsburgh Steelers. 2014 –After being waived by Miami in training camp, finished the preseason with the Detroit Lions and then spent two weeks on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad. 2013 –Played in all 16 games for Miami with five starts and finished with seven receptions for 69 yards…Recorded his first career reception on an eight-yard pass vs. Atlanta, Sept. 22…Had the most productive game of his career vs. New England, Dec. 15, as he set career-highs with two receptions for 25 yards. 2012 –Saw action two games for Miami as a rookie and recorded no statistics.

COLLEGE –Played in 51 games and started the final 26 games at Missouri…recorded 147 receptions for 1,332 yards and eight touchdowns…Was first-team All-Big 12 Conference choice and named a team captain as a senior in 2011 when he started all 13 games and finished second on the team with 50 receptions for 523 yards and three touchdowns…As a junior in 2010, was a consensus All-American first-team selection as he started all 13 games and led the nation's tight ends with 90 receptions for 762 yards and five touchdowns…90 receptions ranked third in school history and tied for the most by a TE in school history…Set new school record for a TE after hauling in 13 passes for 145 yards vs. San Diego State…Played in all 13 games as sophomore in 2009 and finished with three receptions for 25 yards…As a freshman, saw action in 13 games and registered four catches for 22 yards…Majored in hotel and restaurant management.

PERSONAL –Attended Plainview (Texas) HS…Two-time Class 4A/Region 1 District IV selection as WR and received All-Midwest Region honors from Prep Star as a senior…Named a team captain his senior year and finished with 34 receptions for 587 yards and five TDs and rushed 10 times for 53 yards…Recorded eight receptions for 266 yards as a junior…Also lettered in basketball and track…Placed second in the state in the long jump…Full name: Michael Douglas Egnew.
