Five things to know about Will Clapp, an LSU Tiger who the New Orleans Saints selected in the seventh round Saturday with the 245th pick.

  1. Clapp was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Brother Martin High School before playing at LSU. 
  1. Clapp was a three-year starter for the Tigers at guard and center.
  1. The 6-foot-5 center earned first-team All-SEC at two positions and started 36 games during his time at LSU. 
  1. As a starter on the offensive line, Clapp paved the way for three 1,000-yard rushers: Leonard Fournette in 2015, Derrius Guice in 2016 and 2017. 
  1. Clapp graduated in 2017 with a Sports Administration degree.
