Five things to know about the Saints on Tuesday, Aug. 4

First off day for players

The New Orleans Saints players will be taking their first off day of training camp presented by Verizon on Tuesday, Aug. 4. But just because the players are off doesn't mean that won't be plenty of content for fans to consume all day. We will have photos, videos and stories about your favorite team posting all day Tuesday. Visit NewOrleansSaints.com or use the team app to get your fill of Saints news.

The big news Monday was the announcement of Saints great Morten Andersen going into the team's Ring of Honor. Watch the video of Morten's reaction.

We will have another installment of the Black and Blue Report on Tuesday. It should post around noon central and you can find it here.

Senior writer John DeShazier visited with running back Tim Hightower and will have a story on his amazing comeback journey posting in the early afternoon Tuesday.

The Saints will return to practice Wednesday afternoon. There will be no morning practice wednesday.
