New Orleans Saints fans can get a first look at running back in his new Saints uniform as the team held its official Media Day at the Saints training facility on Monday.

Peterson, 6-1, 220, joined the Saints on April 25, signing a two-year deal with the club. The 10-year NFL veteran who captured the NFL MVP and NFL Offensive Player of the year in 2012, is a four-time Associated Press first-team All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowl selection. He was originally selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the seventh overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma.

In a Vikings uniform, Peterson has appeared in 123 career regular season games with 116 starts, totaling 2,418 carries for 11,747 yards (4.9 avg.) with 97 touchdowns and also adding 241 receptions for 1,945 yards with five touchdowns. His rushing yardage total ranks 16th all-time and second among active NFL players, while his rushing touchdown total is ranked 10th all-time and first among active players. Peterson has rushed for at least 100 yards in 49 regular season games, 50 contests including the postseason.
