He is the 12th player in CIS history to selected in the NFL Draft.

He is the first-ever member of the University of Manitoba Bisons program selected.

He was named a Canada West all-star for the second straight campaign.

David is a native of Lagos, Nigeria. Another notable native of Lagos, Nigeria is defensive end Israel Idonije.

David had never played football before he moved to Canada five years ago.
