Five things to know about new Saints running back Alvin Kamara
- In high school, Kamara was ranked the No. 1 all-purpose back in 247Composite, the No. 5 player in Georgia and the No. 42 player nationally.
- Kamara was a redshirt freshman at the University of Alabama before transferring to Hutchinson Community College where he played in 2014 before transferring to the University of Tennessee in 2015.
- At Tennessee, Kamara finished his senior year with a team-high 1,188 all-purpose yards and 13 touchdowns.
- In 2016, Kamara was named to the Paul Hornung Honor Roll and the Athlon Sports Preseason Second Team All-SEC.
- When Kamara transferred to Tennessee, he was named Lindy's Sports SEC Newcomer of the Year.
