New Orleans Saints tight end Josh Hill was a big play-maker in 2014 despite receiving limited touches. The former undrafted free agent from idaho State had five touchdowns among his 14 receptions, a sensational percentage.
With Jimmy Graham in Seattle fans should expect Hill to be targeted more often and given the chance to show his athleticism.
"We utilize multiple tight end sets and obviously that'll affect him with his number count (of snaps)," Coach Sean Payton said. "He has good position versatility. We think he is a guy that can run and stretch the defense. A lot of it will be by game plan and what we are trying to do."
He said it: "My mind-set really is the same that it has been, being aware of the opportunity but just coming in and doing what they ask me to do.
"I don't know their reasoning for (not drafting a tight end), if it's their confidence in the tight ends in the room or not. I'm just excited I'm getting the opportunity and the reps and I'm just looking forward to growing my role, and understanding my role on the team."
