The New Orleans Saints will enter the start of the 2014 training camp presented by Verizon seemingly loaded at running back.

There is Pierre Thomas, the veteran good-at-everything back who runs the screen play perhaps better than any running back in the NFL.

Mark Ingram, a tailback entering his fourth season who played some of his finest football during the Saints' run to the divisional round of the 2013 playoffs last season. He turned in exceptional performances against the Cowboys (14 carries, 145 yards and TD) and in the playoff win over the Eagles (18 carries, 97 yards and a TD).

Khiry Robinson, a second-year running back who was selected by NFL.com as one of 25 players who could have a breakout season in 2014. The NFL.com story pointed out that Robinson "forced more missed tackles on 76 regular-season snaps than Ray Rice did on 730."

Travaris Cadet, a multidensional performer out of the backfield who could also have an impact in the return.

And then there is new fullback Erik Lorig, a free-agent pickup from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. he's not expected to get a ton of touches but he will be expected to open holes for his running mates.
