Halftime Update: Tennessee Titans 20, New Orleans Saints 10 | 2025 NFL Week 17

Saints will get the ball to start the second half

An amazing sack, strip and touchdown run by defensive end Chase Young kept the New Orleans Saints close, trailing the Tennessee Titans 20-10 at halftime at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

Young strip-sacked Tennessee quarterback Cam Ward, the No. 1 pick in the 2025 draft, and returned in 33 yards for a touchdown with 3:51 to play in the half. Young has a career-best eight sacks this season in just 11 games.

The only points the Saints (5-10) had scored prior to Young's play came on a 56-yard field goal by Charlie Smyth with 5:53 to play in the second quarter. Earlier, Smyth missed a 43-yard attempt wide to the left.

The Titans (3-12) scored on a pair of field goals, a 43-yard touchdown pass from Ward on a fourth-and-two play in the second quarter and a 7-yard touchdown pass by Ward with 13 seconds to play.

Saints quarterback Tyler Shough was 10 of 11 for 82 yards with receiver Chris Olave his top target, with four catches for 29 yards.

New Orleans lost tight end Jack Stoll and defensive back Michael Davis to injuries in the first half.

The Saints will get the ball to start the second half as it attempts to rally and extend its three-game winning streak.
