Tickets go on sale for annual 36th Saints Hall of Fame Luncheon and Gala

Tickets are now available for the Saints Hall of Fame Gala and the induction luncheon for Brett Maxie and Tracy Porter

Fans looking to see New Orleans Saints legends Tracy Porter and Brett Maxie inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame can get their tickets now for the 36th Annual Saints Hall of Fame Induction Luncheon and the Saints Hall of Fame Gala.

The induction is set for Friday, Dec. 12 where Porter and Maxie will become the 60th and 61st inductees. In addition, the Joe Gemelli "Fleur de Lis" Award will be presented posthumously to former WGNO Sports Director Ed Daniels and the new Saints Hall of Fame Courage Award will honor Steve Gleason.

Porter enters the hall as one of the most celebrated defensive backs in franchise history. He played four seasons with the Saints from 2008-2011. In 43 career regular season games with 39 starts, the Port Allen native recorded 227 tackles (178 solo), seven interceptions, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 37 pass breakups. He also started all six postseason contests he appeared in, posting 34 tackles (28 solo), two interception returns for 100 yards, including one brought back 74 yards to clinch the team's Super Bowl XLIV victory, one forced fumble and two pass breakups.

Maxie played nine seasons for the Saints and wreaked havoc as one of the best safeties in franchise history. In 118 games with 72 starts, Maxie recorded 438 tackles, 15 interception returns for 206 yards with three brought back for touchdowns, three sacks, five fumble recoveries and one special teams stop. He also started all three postseason contests he played in for New Orleans, including the first playoff contest in franchise history on January 3, 1988, vs. Minnesota.

Daniels, a fixture of New Orleans sports reporting, spent nearly a decade at WDSU and 32 years at WGNO. Daniels covered the Saints, Pelicans and local college and high school sports throughout his tenure. He earned the Press Club of New Orleans' Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014 and was a three-time Louisiana Sportscaster of the Year honoree. Daniels died in 2024 at age 67.

Gleason joined the Saints in 2000 and became a standout special teams player in his seven seasons with the Saints including blocking the punt that was returned for a touchdown in the Saints return to the Superdome following Hurricane Katrina. Gleason has made an even bigger mark off the field. Since his initial diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 2011, Gleason has poured his efforts into supporting those battling ALS, including starting his own nonprofit — Team Gleason. He has collectively helped raise over $100 million for the cause.

The induction luncheon is Friday, Dec. 12 at noon at Chateau Country Club at 3600 Chateau Blvd. in Kenner. Tickets are $750 for a table of 10 and $75 for individuals. Fans can purchase individual tickets for the luncheon here or email saintshalloffame@yahoo.com to purchase a table.

The Saints Hall of Fame Gala is Saturday, Dec. 13 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m., also at Chateau Country Club. Featuring food and drink from 20 restaurants and caterers, the event includes the honorees, along with many former New Orleans Saints players attending as part of Saints Alumni Weekend.
