Statement from NFL spokesperson on suspension of New Orleans Saints receiver/returner Deonte Harris

Harris will be eligible to return to team's active roster Dec. 28

The NFL released the following statement Monday, Dec. 6:

"Deonte Harris of the New Orleans Saints has been suspended without pay for the next three games for violating the NFL Policy and Program on Substances of Abuse.

"He will be eligible to return to the Saints' active roster on Tuesday, Dec. 28, following the team's Week 16 game vs. Miami."
