Spencer Rattler will start at quarterback for New Orleans Saints in preseason finale vs. Denver Broncos on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Caesars Superdome. Saints Coach Kellen Moore made the announcement at Thursday's post-practice press conference at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center.
Moore said rookie Tyler Shough and third-year pro Jake Haener also will play. Rattler started the preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers and Shough, the team's second-round pick out of Louisville, started last week's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Moore has not named a starter for the Sept. 7 season opener against the Arizona Cardinals in the Caesars Superdome.
