Sharper & Harper to host "Game Night" United Way Benefit

Fundraiser to take place after Chargers game.

New Orleans, La. - On Friday, August 27th, NFL Super Bowl Champions, Darren Sharper and Roman Harper of the New Orleans Saints, are hosting the official "Game Night After Party" with United Way for the Greater New Orleans Area at Whiskey Blue and the Living Room located inside the W Hotel.

This party is being thrown to raise money and bring awareness to the community. United Way and its partners are dedicated to ensuring those affected by the Gulf Coast oil spill have access to information and resources.

Whiskey Blue is hosting the VIP Game Night reception and tickets are being sold on the United Way website (www.unitedwaynola.org/saints) for $100 with all proceeds donated directly to United Way. The W Hotel is opening up the Living Room, within the W Hotel lobby, to the public. Everyone is invited to come by to support the cause and have a great time. The celebration and red carpet arrivals begin at 10 pm.

"This is where I live, a city that has brought me so much joy," said Sharper. "I take pride in this city and it is up to each and every one of us to take part in cleaning up our gulf and making a difference!"

"I want to set an example and let people know that this is still a major issue here," said Harper. "With United Way's help we all can take part in bringing back the true spirit of Louisiana.
