Saints Sign Second Round Draft Choice Charles Brown

Former USC standout inks four-year deal

New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Monday that the club has signed offensive tackle Charles Brown, their 2010 second-round draft choice, to a four-year contract.

Brown, a 6-5, 297-pound offensive tackle from Southern Cal, was the 64th overall selection in April's draft. The second-round pick was a two-year starter for the Trojans, opening 27 games of the 48 games that he played in at USC. A native of Chino Hills, Calif., Brown was a first-team All-Pac 10 left tackle as a senior in 2009 and was also named an All-American by The Sporting News.

Brown is the fourth of the Saints' six 2010 draft choices to sign. The New Orleans roster currently stands at the league-maximum 80 active players.
