New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that club has released LB Danny Clark and agreed to terms with T Jordan Black

Clark appeared in 14 games with 10 starts at strongside linebacker for the Saints in 2010. He recorded 59 tackles (32 solo) with one pass defense, a forced fumble, and four special teams stops. Clark first joined the team in 2006. The University of Illinois product has played in 168 games with 103 starts since being drafted in the seventh round by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2000. He has registered 629 tackles (448 solo), seven sacks, nine forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, two interceptions, and 81 special teams stops in his career.

Black, 6-5, 305-pounds, is a physical lineman with the ability to play at both the guard and tackle positions. The Notre Dame product was drafted in the fifth round (153 overall) by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2003 NFL Draft. After being inactive in every game for the 2003 season, he made his NFL debut in 2004 with the Chiefs and eventually moved into a starting role by 2006, when he started a career-high 15 games. He has appeared in 80 games with 40 starts for the Chiefs and the Jacksonville Jaguars in his career. In 2010, Black appeared in 15 games, starting nine contests, for the Jaguars and helped solidify an offensive line that produced the third best rushing attack in the NFL, averaging 149.7 yards per game.
