New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has signed wide receiver Ronnie Bell, defensive end Fadil Diggs and wide receiver Samori Toure to the active roster from the practice squad and placed cornerback Michael Davis, tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden, tight end Jack Stoll and wide receiver Mason Tipton on Injured Reserve.
Bell, 6-0, 195, was originally selected in the seventh round (253rd overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers out of Michigan. As a rookie in 2023, he played in all 17 games, recording six receptions for 68 yards, with three of the grabs touchdowns and adding two special teams tackles. Overall, he has played in 27 games with the 49ers (2023-24) and Saints (2025), posting eight receptions for 90 yards with three touchdowns and four special teams stops, including making a coverage tackle in his Saints debut last Sunday at the Tennessee Titans. In five collegiate seasons with the Wolverines, Bell played in 47 games with one start and caught 145 passes for 2,269 yards (15.6 avg.) with nine touchdowns.
Diggs, 6-5, 261, was originally selected by the Saints in the seventh round (254th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Syracuse. In 2025, he appeared in the first four games of the season and spent most of the regular season on the practice squad. Playing four seasons at Texas A&M and his final campaign at Syracuse, the East Camden, N.J. native appeared in 45 games with 32 starts in college and recorded 120 tackles (65 solo), 15.5 sacks, three pass breakups, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick. In 2024, Diggs was an honorable mention All-ACC selection, when he led Syracuse in tackles for loss (14.0) and sacks (7.5). He also finished with 45 tackles (25 solo), three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup.
Toure, 6-3, 190, was originally a seventh round selection (258th overall) of the Green Bay Packers in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Nebraska. In 22 career games with two starts for the Packers (2022-23), the Portland, Ore. native has recorded 13 receptions for 160 yards (12.3 avg.) with one touchdown. Toure joined the Saints practice squad on Nov. 25, after spending three weeks on the Denver Broncos practice squad and spending the 2024 campaign on the Chicago Bears practice squad. In 2021 at Nebraska, after playing three seasons at Montana, Toure recorded 46 receptions for 898 yards (19.5 avg.) with five touchdowns and carried eight times for 63 yards with one touchdown.
