New Orleans Saints sign G Mike Golic Jr. to a two-year deal

Golic, 6-foot-4, 300 pounds, originally signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2013

The New Orleans Saints announced today that they have signed guard Mike Golic Jr. to a two-year contract. The announcement was made by Saints' Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

Golic, 6-foot-4, 300 pounds, originally signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2013, where he spent the preseason. Golic was a four-year letterman at Notre Dame, where he appeared in 40 career games with 17 starts, seeing action at both center and guard. As a senior in 2012, he started all 13 games at guard, as part of an offensive line that paved the way for the Irish to average over 200 yards per game both rushing and passing.
