New Orleans Saints announce transactions to meet 75-man limit

Saints claim CB Sammy Seamster

The New Orleans Saints made a number of roster moves Tuesday, Sept. 1 to reach the NFL-mandated active roster limit of 75, it was announced by Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

The club has waived CB Terrence Frederick, WR R.J. Harris, DT David Hunter, T Antonio Johnson, WR Lance Lewis, G Cole Manhart, CB Travis Manning, DE Markus Pierce-Brewster and LB Chris Young. The team has terminated the contract of FB Erik Lorig. The club has waive/injured LB Ronald Powell, S Vinnie Sunseri and WR Nick Toon and has placed DE Anthony Spencer and CB P.J. Williams on Injured Reserve. They have traded WR Jalen Saunders to the New England Patriots for a future undisclosed draft pick. The Saints also claimed CB Sammy Seamster.
