Drew Brees named NFL's Clutch Performer of the Week

Drew Brees has won three NFL weekly awards for his historic performance against the Giants

Drew Brees has been named the NFL's Clutch Performer of the Week, his third weekly NFL award this week, the league announced Friday.

Brees completed 39 of 50 passes (78%) for 505 yards and seven touchdowns for a 131.7 passer rating in the Saints' 52-49 win over the Giants.

Brees became the eighth quarterback in NFL history with seven touchdown passes in a single game, tying the league record. His seventh touchdown pass went to C.J. Spiller, and it tied the game with just 36 seconds remaining. After a Giants punt, the Saints kicked a 50-yard field goal to win the game from Kai Forbath in the 52-49 win over the New York.
