Sean Payton announced after Friday's practice that QB Drew Brees (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at the Carolina Panthers.
It marks the first time Brees has missed a game due to injury in his 15-year career.
Payton said Luke McCown will start and Garrett Grayson will serve as his backup.
