Dempsey to Appear at Saints Hall of Fame Museum Monday

Former New Orleans Saints kicker Tom Dempsey will appear at the Saints Hall of Fame Museum in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Monday, November 28 prior to the game pitting the New Orleans Saints against the New York Giants.

Dempsey will be available for autographs and pictures from 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. The Saints Hall of Fame Museum is located at Gate B on the Plaza Level of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Dempsey, who kicked for the Saints in 1969 and 1970, booted the longest field goal in NFL history on November 8, 1970, kicking a 63-yard field goal as time expired as the Saints defeated the Detroit Lions 19-17 at Tulane Stadium.

Dempsey was a Pro Bowl selection from the Saints in 1969. He was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 1989.

The Saints Hall of Fame Museum is open free of charge to all ticket holders on game day for three hours prior to each home game and for 45 minutes following each home game.

The museum is open by appointment only Monday through Friday at a cost of $7 per person or $5 for a group of 10 or more.
